After a long day of tourism in Barcelona, it’s nice to retreat to the comforts of a cosy coffee shop. The city has a great coffee culture, but you need to know the right places. We’ve put together a list of 5 of our favorite coffee shops with Wi-Fi, stylish interiors and a nice crowd.
En Aparte is a french-style café located at the top of the calm and less-busy Plaça Sant Pere in El Born. El Born? It’s part of the old town, so right in the city center. Great people there, great Wi-Fi and friendly baristas.
Café Cometa is located in a district that is becoming more and more popular among locals, Sant Antoni. Lots of new restaurants have opened in Sant Antoni since 2014. It’s a great area close to downtown to get your caffeine fix.
Wooden design, pastel shades, with lots of white space and a big map showing Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia. Oh boy, this is clearly a great spot to get a fresh juice and delicious brunch. We’re probably going to end up trying every single cake on the menu!
Brunch deluxe, but no WiFi! This hipster haven provides delicious coffee, several tasty and healthy smoothies, and yes indeed, no WiFi!
Get disconnected from the internet, order some healthy food and drinks, and sit next to other nerds and geeks at the long wooden table, decorated with small green and yellow flowers. That is exactly the reason why digital nomads and freelancers love to come here.
This place is made with passion and even has a terrace! A great collection of magazines to read in a well-designed, bijou working atmosphere. There are actually two Federal Cafés in Barcelona and we recommend both of them.
This is a gorgeous cafe in the neighborhood of Poble Nou, near Bogatell beach and Torre Agbar. Espa Joliu offers free WiFi, a quirky, vintage design and a super-cosy vibe. The coffee is an absolute dream! They get their coffee beans from the best supplier in town, Nomad Coffee.
Many students come here for a break or to study.
Go directly to the Instagram accounts of the places mentioned above and check out the photos taken of the particular location. This way you’ll have a 360 view of the coffee shop you want to see.
